Happy Meal App App Reviews

Originally downloaded this app almost a year ago and it was a disaster - scanner wouldnt work, unhappy child, deleted the app within minutes. This week my child got a couple of the pets toys, saw the mcplay advertisement on the tag and begged me to download the app. Reluctantly I did, explaining to him that the app didnt work before and probably still wouldnt. I was pleasantly surprised when the scanner worked very easily and he had fun with the games it unlocked. If I have any frustration its that a toy only unlocks one game, so a child needs multiple toys (i.e. multiple happy meals) to unlock additional games. Aside from this the app functions well and is free so worth a go.

This app sucks because of there is not much, & this app was made by a cruel restaurant and I think nobody should be lovin it!!!

Five toys later, only one of them actually scans, meaning 80% of the access the kids should have, they cant and wont get. So The one star rating is because it is effectively complete garbage. Tempting to scan with this will only lead to frustrated kids and more frustrated adults. You have to try to distort these tiny little squished stuffed toys to somehow exactly fit the sketch of it in the scanner. Which is pretty much physically impossible. It doesnt matter how badly you contort the angle, the toy, anything else. And I am no Luddite, I play with tech toys all day every day. Ive never seen anything game or proof of purchase-wise so ridiculously restrictive. Its not like there are military-grade secrets the scan function is protecting, so having this overly-precise scanning gate-keeper, essentially kills any ability to proceed or make any use whatsoever of the app and all the things it supposed to unlock. Be warned - let your kids play with the toys, but Id suggest that you forgot even thinking about this app.

Used to work and now it cannot even load !!! Pathetic for a company of McDonalds stature.

Trying to scan the toys is an exercise in frustration. Out of about a dozen toys collected over the last few months only 3 scanned. Why not use a bar code instead because it is impossible to contort these toys to match the outline. It only ends with frustration for everyone.

If only Zero stars were an option. One star is false advertising for this app. We got the happy meal and guess what? Bye bye happy, hello crying child. I looked online and apparently this app consistently fails to scan the toy and the result is an unhappy child who wished he went elsewhere for supper. Hey McDonalds: stick to your plastic crap - dont make promises you cant fulfill. Boo.

It takes forever to load and when you play a game it has to load. It doesnt scan at all. It just shows how.DO NOT GET THIS GAME! It is SO boring. If you could rate 0 stars, I would rate a 0. And its only for kids to 6-8. Im 9. I got a step-it. All it does is light up. The other one just estimates your steps. I would never get this app ever ever again

Yeah, its a terrible app for a billion dollar company. It loads so slow and a lot more.

Garbage

The thing doesnt work. 3 things 1 the scanner doesnt work 2 you have too have the toy too play the game 3 the symbol is derpy*. *the logo is a happy meal with a face.

Horrible! You cant even download it at the start!

Tons of advertisement, scan takes forever, even after scanning the game is nowhere to be found! How do you expect a kid to play this crap?

It glitches out of the game

Dont waste your time. I tried the app so I could scan my kids happy meal toy and supposedly unlock a game. The scan button is buried deep inside a whole bunch of advertising junk, first of all. Then, when I did finally find the scan button, all that the scan button did was unlock more nonsense junk. Just pure trash. Still no "game". But, still, I wanted to find something good about this "app" and so I tried again. This time around the "scan a toy" button had completely disappeared.

Crashes repeatedly, every time I finally reach level five to unlock a game without a toy.(Seems like they rlly dont want you to play their games without purchasing their toy$)

Terrible app. Cant scan toy and super slow. My son would throw my phone across the room if he tried to play with this.. and I would completely understand
